We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on our website.
Refund policy
A refund policy is a document that outlines the rules for getting refunds for purchased goods and services. It often details the eligibility requirements for refunds, types of refunds given, the refund timeframe, and the refund process.
Types of refunds:
The Laundry Valet will decide and conclude refund requests based on case by case basis. There is no guarantee that all request for refunds will be acceded to. Approved refunds are primarily made through credits. Additional credits when approved, will be credited into customer's account. Subject to approval, cash refunds can be provided as well.
Refund timeframe:
Should there be a request in refund, customer have to alert The Laundry Valet team via whatsapp or email in writing within 48hours of payment. Any further than 48 hours may result in delay as more time will be needed for further investigation.
Refund process:
Refunds will be made by the end of every week. Customer can review their credits given via statements which they can access via their app, email or simply by checking in with us. Unless otherwise stated, cash refund will only be done via paynow (mobile).
Terms & Conditions
1. Liability for any reason (including but not limited to lost or damaged items) is limited to the lesser of ten (10) times the cleaning cost or the depreciated value of the item as determined by the International Fair Claims Guide published by the International Fabricare Institute (IFI). Once the item has been compensated, it remains the property of The Laundry Valet.
– Should the Compensation be arranged via Credit, the validity period will be no more than 30 working days.
2. The Laundry Valet liability shall be limited to the terms contained herein and shall only apply to the individual item which has been damaged or lost. In the event that items are priced in one lump sum or are part of a set (such as curtains) and should any damage occur which is the fault of The Laundry Valet, the liability shall be based upon ten (10) times the apportioned cleaning cost for that individual item (part of a set).
3. Kindly remove valuable, personal or ornamental items attached to or left on the garment. The Laundry Valet is not responsible for the loss of item(s) not removed prior to cleaning.
4. The Laundry Valet shall not be liable for items with a defect in the design, material, dyes or construction, have residual stains or have accessories or ornaments which don’t withstand cleaning. Any damage or stains discovered before cleaning are to be taken as having occurred before collection.
5. The Laundry Valet shall not be liable for garments without any care label affixed to the garment. Your items will be cleaned according to the care label, unless specified by you. If there are no care labels, your item will be cleaned according to our experience.
6. The Laundry Valet shall not be liable for loss or damage due to load wash service (wash by per 7 kg). Any weight more than the threshold of +/- 1 will be deemed as a chargeable second bag wash.
7. Please check upon collection on the number and condition of items. If you are not present to give us or receive your items, your appointed receiver will be deemed as acceptance of our terms and conditions. The Laundry Valet will not be liable for claims relating to missing items after collection.
8. Any claims or irregularities with respect to the condition of your garment must be made within (24) hours from the time the garment/item is collected.
9. The Laundry Valet will do our utmost to remove stains, however there is no guarantee that every stain can be removed on all fabrics due to many factors such as time and/or weather exposure, stained from oil, pigments, blood etc. We will not waive charges due to our inability to remove a stain.
10. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure only machine washable items are placed into the wash bag for wash and fold/ iron service. The Laundry Valet will attempt to note down of any damage or stains relating to your items, however they are not to be deemed as conclusive or final, as our operations’ staff will do a final check before cleaning. Hence, we make no warranty for the completeness of these descriptions.
11. Please prepare your laundry items before/ during your scheduled pickup timing. Any double trip caused will result in an additional $20 transportation charge.
12. We are not accountable for any losses of personal bags. We encourage the use of our laundry bags instead of your personal bags/ dust covers as we are not liable for any losses/ dirtied bags.
13. Turnaround time for dry cleaning is 5 working days (excluding pickup day). Turnaround time for normal washes is 2 working days.
14. While we strive our best to provide exceptional quality and security, such as having CCTVs and other measures. However, unforeseen circumstances and other acts of God circumstances, such as, but not limited to, floods, riots, war, and traffic accidents, may arise. By signing up and registering your details with us, you share this understanding with us, and together, we can make this a great experience for everyone.
